Construction Supervisor

MH Civil is looking for a skilled and motivated Construction Supervisor to oversee daily on-site activities and ensure the smooth progress of our projects. In this role, you will coordinate with team members, manage schedules, and uphold our safety and quality standards. As a vital part of our operations, you’ll play a key role in guiding teams, solving on-site challenges, and ensuring each project meets our performance and safety goals. What you’ll do:

  • Guides, assigns, schedules, and supervises the work of construction staff, contractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed on schedule.
  • Provides job evaluations based on performance and goals set by immediate supervisors in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Implements disciplinary and termination steps as necessary and according to company policy.
  • Recommends promotions and salary increases based on observed job performance.
  • Determines project requirements and procedures, and the required materials and workers, based on given project specifications and plans.
  • Supervising construction activities on site, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
  • Coordinating and scheduling the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Monitoring and enforcing compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
  • Managing and maintaining construction equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly used by workers.
  • Communicating effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.
  • Training and mentoring construction workers to improve their skills and performance on the job.
  • Resolving conflicts and disputes among construction crew members, subcontractors, or suppliers to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Conducting regular inspections of work sites to identify potential hazards, quality issues, or other problems that may affect project delivery.
  • Keeping accurate records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, materials used, and work hours to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Participating in project planning meetings, providing input on construction methods, materials, and costs to help achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Oversees and adheres to budgets and schedules for projects.
  • Identifies and recommends solutions for production problems, as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Thorough understanding of construction trades and extraction work.
  • Superior organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in projects.
  • Ability to read blueprints and other reports outlining specifications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • At least ten years of related experience required.
  • Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to make inspections.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Travel will be required.
